There will always be someone better, smarter, more skilled, more passionate, more eloquent than me. Anything good I have, for however brief a time, I’m thankful to God. Any blessings, any lessons, any gifts that I may be given, I don’t want to keep to myself, but share. I want to be the best me I can, filling Gods purpose, and I want to share that with others.

Income Inequality?
An informal review of Forbes wealthiest people in America shows that only 19 of the top 50 obtained their fortune from the family business. Why do we despise them? Why do we wish to take their money from them? These are entrepreneurs that create millions of jobs and are the engines of America’s economic growth and power. They created vast wealth by hard work and intelligence, not from...

Startups to Watch
Turntable.fm - It’s the best way to discover music hands down. Nothing beats actual DJs to curate music, Pandora et al can come close and I’ve found great music through them, but in the limited time I’ve been on Turntable.fm, it has been fantastic. There are also a lot more revenue stream options here than just straight up radio.  Vibe.me - Most social networks evolve (devolve)...

Change
It has been one month since everything changed. I’m in a new city, with all new people, doing new work. The only constants are my family and my God. It might seem frightening or difficult but it has been neither. It has been exhilarating. Small changes often improve your live, but they don’t improve your mindset as much.  Such drastic change has improved my life, but also my mindset....

Short logic: Groupon IPO: Pass on this deal →
shortlogic: Groupon has filed its S-1 and hopes to raise $750M in its initial public offering. Given they’re currently losing a staggering $117M per quarter, despite revenues of $644M, they’ll be burning through that cash almost as soon as it hits their account. At the moment, it’s costing them $1.43 to…

Bahamian Taxes
Was considering a quick trip over to the Bahamas with my friend Sven before he headed back to Germany. Unfortunately the taxes and fees were another $132. This has happened more than once. If you want more tourism, reduce or get rid of these taxes on airfare. Just charge a sales tax. You will get more tourists and more sales tax, your economy will improve giving you people with better incomes...

Allegiant vs Spirit: Aircraft Costs
Allegiant purchased MD-80s from SAS for less than $4 million per plane including all interior conversions and maintenance. Spirit pays $3.2 million per year on average to lease a320s. So what if the MD-80 sucks fuel, over say a ten year period you are saving almost $30 million dollars per aircraft! (without inflation) And because you can purchase them outright, you don’t have to keep them in...

Music
I wish there could be a constant sound track to me life. Music lifts you up And brings you down Music remembers And it looks forward Music gives you drive And it helps you relax Music makes you think And it helps you forget Music is love Music is joy Music is worship Music is passion Though I have no musical talent to speak of, it is a huge part of my life. For the next week, I will be a contrarian for the for the sake of simply being a contrarian. Why? Though I can be a leader, can be creative, can be innovative, all too often I simply try to be agreeable.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

FAFSA Website Doesn't Support Chrome
Just a heads up to all of you college students who use Google Chrome. You will likely need to use a different browser. Chrome updates regularly (we are on version 9 right now) but FAFSA only allows Chrome 6 or 7. What do you expect? PS, if you aren’t using Chrome, you should give it a try!
